Home for quality care of the cardiac patients
The New York State Society of Perfusionists was founded in 1998 to promote cardiac patient care by regularly conducting educational endeavors such as annual and bi annual perfusion scientific meetings, support of the two perfusion schools in the state. NYSSP also lobbied NYS legislature to license the practice of perfusion. NYSSP's goal is quality cardiac patient care.
NYSSP is a non profit organization and charges the minmal amount of registration fee to cover the cost of the meeting and educational events to particpants and members.
NYSSP relies on support from industries through meeting participation and grants.
Face of Perfusion-Photo Contest Winner
We as perfusionists are involved in many aspects in the operating room. Working with surgeons, anesthesia residents, making sure we keep the patient "alive". At the same time have to make sure we keep our "tubing spaghetti" neat as possible so that we will clamp the correct line!
